The Making Of The Sensible Witch Oracle Deck

Hear Her Roar’s Sensible Witch Oracle is a deck designed with love, magic, and reverence with the intention of inviting you in to enter and explore. Immerse yourself into the art. Sink into the colors and textures. Both new to oracle and seasoned readers alike will find these cards evoking their intuition!

The Story

I embarked on this project in November 2022, having been inspired by coaching work I was doing with women leaders inside of a group program of the same name — The Sensible Witch. The women in these groups came from all backgrounds, and whether they believed in magic or not, they knew they had a yearning to better trust and claim their intuitive gifts.

Like many oracle decks, the structure and rules of these cards are their own. Inside each deck are 44 beautiful cards that fall into the suits of Wonder, Intuition, Trust, Connection, Honor, and Integration. The deck also pulls from deeply personal themes of tradition, ritual, and womanhood. I hope that you will be as moved as I was as you connect with each suit's journey and tap into these cards to deepen your own contemplative practice.

The creation of this deck has truly been one of my own greatest learnings in intuition. The cards came readily to me, the energetic signature of these cards already out there, and me simply showing up with a Google doc to put their form to words.

But I have to say, this project would not have been possible without the creative genius of my artist, Paulina, whose enchanting style brought forth the vibrancy and whimsy I knew this deck possessed. Not to mention the 116 backers who pledged $11,493 on Kickstarter, and helped bring it to life.

Deck Details

  • 44 cards printed on 350 gsm high quality art paper with soft matte finish, smallest side measuring 2.75 inches

  • Sturdy magnetic book style box with soft matte lamination finish

  • 66-paged guidebook that fits in the box on top of the cards

  • Cards will be tied by transparent stripe with guidebook placed on top, then assembled into box with shrink wrap outside
