Productivity Hacks to Give You Your Time Back
I entered January excited and refreshed to tackle the upcoming year ahead. But, it wasn’t always this way! Looking back, there were many years I felt anxious about "real life" starting up again after the holidays.
Whether you find yourself feeling energized or overwhelmed, there are small habits you can start implementing today that will help shake up your routine. I’m excited to share 5 productivity hacks that have ultimately helped me reclaim my time. Maybe you could benefit from them too?
Plan your day the night before.
What are some things you need to get done? And what are some things you want to do? Both of these are equally important when planning your day.
Ditch the overflowing to-do list.
Instead of working trying to work from a master list of tasks, set 1-3 goals for the day instead. This will allow you to hone in on your priorities.
Take breaks!
We all know by now that you can't pour from an empty cup. Take care of yourself first and your productivity (and mindset) will flourish.
Avoid multitasking.
Jumping from task to task is not productive. Instead, group similar tasks together and focus on the task at hand. Not only will you save time, you’ll avoid overwhelm too.
Set a timer for 15, 30, 45, or 60 minutes and get to work.
Whether it's work, cleaning, chores, or another priority, set a time limit and see how much you can get done. You may be surprised by the things you can accomplish when you’re racing against the clock.
So, tell me! Will you be implementing any of these 5 hacks to shake up your routine? I'd love to hear your favorite time management tip in the comment section below.
